I don't monitor comments on my Substack, but I wanted to pop in to correct my statement that my post about Ricky Gervais's Netflix comedy special is the most-liked post. Not so! That honor goes to Lauren Levey's letter to Majority Leader Schumer on lesbians being erased by the Democratic party (https://karadansky.substack.com/p/lesbians-erased-by-the-democratic), followed closely by my post about Jeni Harvey insulting American women by dismissing the recent movie "Kellie-Jay in the USA: Let Women Speak" as "unremarkable" (https://karadansky.substack.com/p/on-how-unremarkable-jeni-harvey-thinks).

WOMB ENVY: denotes the envy that men may feel of the biological functions of the female experience. (This is a real term.) I will not write about my outrage. I will not write about the betrayal of my Democratic party. I will not write about how as a female comedian, I couldn't even write anything as absurd as to what is going on today. I will not write about the injustice that I feel that I cannot express an opinion about my rights, body and experience. But I will write, that I will not rest until women and girls are safe to be women again, in this world that I walk in. I will write, that I will not sit by idle, and allow men to smother me, mock me, and DICKtate who and what I am. I will write, that women are currently doing what they have done for thousands of years, gathering together. We are uniting, and we are fighting. I will write, that we will win, because when women unite, we are unstoppable.

I remember when trans activists protested/ended the vagina monologues, because ‘not all women have vaginas’?

I was outraged and horrified about that, because my opportunities, from a different curfew from my brother, to promotions at work, to being ‘allowed to play softball’, instead of baseball, to having female teachers at a public high school making girls kneel for their skirts and shorts to be measured, have all been directly linked to not having a penis.

It seemed like the least women could be ‘allowed’ to do, is bitch about society and its relationship to their vaginas on stage. This movement has nothing to do with the men who are confused about gender roles and everything to do with silencing women who speak out against oppression, as if society is any more post feminist than it is post racial.

Tell migrant workers in places like Texas or California that they weren’t raped by farmers or paid less by farmers than men, because of their ‘assumed gender identity’, not because they were born with a vagina.

Yes, that’s what it is with a little male exhibitionism to boot. You can also tell its a man in the way he trivializes and individualizes the struggle for women’s rights. Women can never have their rights taken away, is that so?? That’s why abortion is now illegal in 18 states and men who identify as women can encroach on our private safe spaces and get awards set aside for us.

I find his comments revealing. A little insecure man who thinks he can dress up and automatically become a superhero... none of us are automatically superheroes. Just as women have had to work to undo the myth that we were automatically weak or unintelligent, this idealization robs us of our autonomy and is patronizing. Nobody is automatically a superhero. Yes, we persevere in ways that men do not, and they cannot truly understand, however, to become amazing, each human has to work at it. Some women become more powerful than others, some remain timid like those who buy into his crap. You can't just identify into being a great person by adopting an identity.

oh and meant to add. I agree, I don't know what world he lives in to pretend women's rights are not in jeopardy or nonexistent in many parts of the world.

Jordan Gray is one messed up dude. The public clapping for him is even more messed up.

I struggle with the decision as to whether we should give ANY energy to these misanthropes by bemoaning how much they offend women and how much the world hates women or should we just rock our womanhood and sisterhood by celebrating with each other and make it FUN to be a feminist again. Honestly, I think the hatred for women and feminists is so over the top lately that people forget just how much we can laugh at ourselves, enjoy life, survive and thrive in the face of unimaginable horrors and ultimately prove ourselves to be the better human beings. Maybe then so many women wouldn't so easily turn their backs on what feminism has achieved. It just seems like women more and more are throwing away their rights and throwing feminists under the bus. I want women who, like Kellie-Jay, has fire and spit and yet can laugh about it all, too. She's stopped calling herself a feminist because feminism has become so corrupted by capitalism and porn and I think she's got a point. Feminism has been rebranded as anti-woman - however unfair that label is - and we need to find a way to be more relevant to more women. Otherwise, we have no hope. I think bringing back joy and fierce pride in being a woman publicly and privately is so key to winning this war. Rage often turns away the people we most want on our side. Just my opinion!

That said, we need our warrior sisters, too! Thanks for all that you do, Kara!

I've run into a Rabbi on Twitter who pushes the T agenda. Pushes it saying that it's always been in society. Usurping Gay & Lesbians struggles. Wish I could remember his name, but he shouldn't be hard to find him inside Twitter with a search. He had thousands of followers, bots or not couldn't tell. Glad to see your comments. Keep your faith. World needs it now. Our society is under siege. History Repeats. #MortalStorm
