I've been an independent since turning 18 in 1978 but registered R last year and it was the brainless puppets who drove me from the center.
There are no still-rational dems, at least not any holding public office. So the fire needed to produce those ashes hasn't come yet. Will Trump 2.0 burn hot enough? I'm not sure.
