I learned about them from you from a previous post, and that was really helpful in working up a ROAR CTA on a lousy prison bill currently being proposed in NY. I have also noticed since learning this from you that folks often cite the Geneva Convention. I wondered why, as that addresses prisoners of war, and the Mandela Rules are more on point. What I see from this is that it may just be that the Mandela Rules are not as well known. Which is all to say thank you for highlighting them here and offering background.
