I just recommended the two comments that have been posted here. If anyone else comments and you want to share a link here, feel free. I'll do my best to recommend them. I don't think I should get to have all the fun - join in!
Thanks for the alert Kara so I had a chance to approve your comment and the others following your lead. I wanted to comment also but comments were closed very early. It was galling to read so many mistaken premises in the article itself; like gender critical is right-wing as a smear to discredit protest. And the incredible favoritism towards trans identified men AARRRG.
Well done, and of course I “liked” it. The comments section was closed by the time I saw this, so I couldn’t reply, but liked everyone’s reply—and they were all good—who did. For the amusement of all, I also made a direct comment, which was published and quickly got a good number of “likes,” then became unavailable. A while later, I thought, why not try again? I did, it was published, and so far is still there. If you feel like giving it a like, too, this should get you there: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/20/magazine/trans-athletes-women-college-sports.html#permid=141576948
It's very good to see that the top five comments are all pro-TERF.
Most important action now (if you are an NYT subscriber) is to "recommend" each of those five, because these will be the ones most people see going forward.
I made ten comments, all very brief and published.
Many of us commented, ironically or not, on the absence of articles about FtM athletes participating in men's sports.
Two trends among the pro-trans brigade:
- there are 'only' a few TiMs competing in female sports, so we should stop complaining (i.e. remember that it is women's job to accommodate male desires, whatever sacrifices are involved)
- anyone who opposes TiMs participating in female sports is right wing
The good thing, though, is that as far as I could tell, the great majority of commenters and the top Readers' Picks were opposed.
Maybe more Democrats are ready to hear this. The issue of men taking women's places in women's competitions is the one that opens people's eyes. (UK leftie terf).

Well done, Kara. It's high time for the Old Gray Lady to detransition, don't you think?
🤩❤️💥❤️🤩
My comment (and a reply) was published, too. Glad to see, as the NYT followed the usual stylebook, ie, using a photo of a winsome-looking solo trans-identified man, because we all know the spell is broken when they're standing next to an Actual Woman. Sad that this is what passes for "balanced." Here's my comment: https://nl.nytimes.com/f/newsletter/H3iinjZaWYR-wEnbQwS7Fw~~/AAAAARA~/wtEDmnpJSsvWiYagXfyKFTb0_AnQMLmghpXvK4900S9tVN_uDs51UvTv8tVS9bIVrBJHm5PfamNIxVpDTF-IAe8PpXhFky65pVaPBe5UT4_F62OFLNQ5FHe4iPpxoUbW7VUrs9yS565I3s5i1qsIId2AsXQQoSSZPKbRdL9fRvnJusLA98K6DaCKDKdx56SZp1nDsCMBmX0Sjzmr7wS0Zw~~
Nice! I just gave it a recommend.
Good comment!
Done and joined in!
I think the moderator is overwhelmed! Hahahah, so many great sex realist comments!
Nice one. I recommended multiple times as they would not post any of my attempts to reply to your comment.

Know-nothing trans activists and their defenders say the same thing about men in women's prisons: "What's the big deal? there's only a few of them."
My answer is always the same: "How many men does it take to rape a woman? And how many rapes are a acceptable number?"
Maybe more Democrats are ready to hear this. The issue of men taking women's places in women's competitions is the one that opens people's eyes. (UK leftie terf).
Brava! I recommended all of the aforementioned comments!
Awesome!
Like, like, like. Started to comment and presto the comments section is now closed.
Done, done, done. Was pleased to see how many comments, in addition to Kara's, questioned the need for Dems to die on this very unpopular hill.
Liked it. It's up to 504 recommends now. :)
Done.
