Welcome to Woman’s Hour: The TERF Report.
In today’s episode, I talk about a man named Tremaine Carroll and the compelled use of pronouns in court. On December 17, in an X post linking to a blog post on its website, the group Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) reported that a judge in California has ordered a criminal prosecutor to refer to a male alleged rapist using she/her pronouns. The man in question is Tremaine Carroll and until recently, he was housed in the California women’s prison, where he is alleged to have raped two female inmates. He has since been transferred back to a men’s facility.
