Thank you Kara. This is so appallingly unfair and mean spirited. I feel sometimes like we are living in an alternative universe. It’s frustrating because I was hoping the UK Supreme Court decision would mean something but apparently they plan to ignore it based on what you just reported. Makes me wonder what will happen here in the US when a similar case comes before the court. I am hopeful that Skermetti vs US goes our way but then we may have to deal with activist states, etc. choosing to ignore decisions. Very concerning.
It's a paid lobby worth billions of dollars to its investors. They will fight us every single step of the way, until it becomes more expensive than it's worth to them.
Women, LGB kids, the incarcerated, vulnerable, and disabled are not human to them. All they'll ever consider is their ROI.
No monster ever gives up its treasure hoard without a vicious, blood-thirsty fight.
Apparently ‘Rose’ had also said that he is trying to get his partner pregnant! I wonder if he was trolling the nurses (in light of his reported smirks and questioning of women on whether/when they were going to undress!)
I still find it shocking that any hospital or nurses union would not consider the needs of female rape survivors knowing that, conservatively, 1/3 women have endured sexual assault by men and that they would prioritize a man’s “feelings” and turn a blind eye to women’s hard won civil rights to privacy and safety. Even worse, that they choose to disrespect a Supreme Court ruling and continue to suggest female nurses are bigoted for requesting their own change rooms and seek to punish them for speaking out.
Deep gratitude to Karen for her courage in speaking out and to all of the other Darlington nurses.
These women are the epitome of courage. That they should have to fight like this for basic decency is beyond the pale. We are truly living in the upside down. Thank you for raising these magnificent women up. Yet another brilliant choice for this brilliant series.
Good news! Please share in your networks: The J.K. Rowling Women’s Fund has been established to support individuals and organizations fighting to protect women's sex-based rights! There will be financial support to weather the coming storm:
"The J.K. Rowling Women’s Fund (JKRWF) offers legal funding support to individuals and organisations fighting to retain women’s sex-based rights in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces. It provides women with the means and confidence to bring to justice cases that make legal precedents, force policy change, and make positive contributions to women’s lives in the future."

Shame on this Trust!

I don't usually cry over your FFS posts.
Nor I. But, even though I had followed this and already had heard her speak on this, I was flattened by the cruelty. This. Has. To. Stop.

This is AMAZING. And it deserves everybody's attention!
I hope Kara writes about it.
