The Joyce Carol Oates betrayal is a real knife in the heart. It’s hard to watch women you once admired and looked up to for their accomplishments turncoat on women and girls.

I hope the pandering, or should I say the ball-palming was worth all the respect she just lost.

This phenomenon is not uncommon: A celebrity of stature uses their reputation to hop on the trans train and defends the entire nonsensical enterprise on the basis of some variation of "freedom," "dignity" and "human rights." Who among us except a nazi could be opposed to those things?

For instance, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson defends men in women's sports on the basis of "freedom" and self-expression.

Gloria Steinem, of all people, produced a mea culpa of her previous feminist views, disavowing Janice Raymond, and now celebrates the "authenticity" of transgenderism.

Rather than educate themselves, they take the low road. Aren’t they known for their brilliance? Why not award themselves another virtue signaling medal? Maybe their popularity has waned because they haven’t done anything notable in a while, and this is the quickest way to rejuvenate their brand. Or, we could just call them arrogant and lazy.

Once again, I think if you pay close attention, her misogyny/patriarchal pandering has been the REASON she's where she is today. Subtle but a common thread

Could be. But look at what went down with Judy Bloom. She got piled on over some comment about trans shit, and then immediately bent over backward to pander.

It’s really disappointing to see women whose work I really liked sell women out when they are at the point in life where you should be able to speak truth and give no fucks about popularity.

They probably all have blue hair brat grandkids up their asses about it, whilst simultaneously holding our their hands for a piece of what they didn't earn. That seems to be pretty common these days.

Thankfully I don’t care if my relatives like me. I no longer give them handouts or care about validating their nonsense.

Now we have Naomi Wolf trying to walk some line to "protect women and girls' while still honoring the T....She called out JK Rowlings for being mean to "trans" a couple days ago...smh

It’s annoying. JK being mean to trans. Yeah, right. How about all the rape and death threats she said she could wallpaper her entire house with, involving killing her family as well as her?

Is that mean? They never call out that criminally illegal insanity.

I’ve been disowned by the Bernie crowd b/c I spoke out against men in women’s Olympics boxing—called a bigot for standing up for women. that’s a sure sign it’s time to speak louder and clearer b/c ppl have simply lost their way. this is obvious stuff: men can’t punch women, men can’t have women’s championships, men can’t steal our scholarships in school sports. this is a hard red line for me, and i believe that the fact ppl/women who proclaim it’s bigotry are showing the evidence of how susceptible they are to base-level propaganda.

i’m sick of it.
