A few days ago, Glenna Goldis published a piece titled, “Trump’s Funding Freeze Is Enjoined. What Does That Mean for Gender Doctors?” It’s dizzying, and all I could manage to say in the comments was, “My head is spinning.” The legal landscape concerning matters related to sex and “gender identity” is tough to follow at the moment.

Yesterday, it was announced that a federal judge has temporarily blocked the Executive Order on Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation from January (Executive Order 14187). According to the Washington Post, several hospitals and clinics had stopped providing puberty blockers and opposite-sex hormones to children in response to the January order, but some would resume the practice (which often results in permanent sterility and other medical problems) as a result of this temporary legal decision.

To be clear, the only reason children are receiving these drugs is that the adults in their lives (teachers, other school officials, mental and medical health providers, for example) are telling them and their parents that it’s possible to be the opposite sex or a member of a nonexistent other sex class. It’s a cruel lie that is harming children.
