The FTC’s case against the AAP
And the AAP’s response (and loads of other stuff)
February 11, 2026
This post (below the paywall) will be about the recent news that the Federal Trade Commission is going after the American Academy of Pediatrics for fraudulent practices (good!).
But first …
A woman (who calls herself a man) is competing in the female category in this year’s Winter Olympics. Most mainstream media outlets are celebrating this as “Swedish skier becomes first transgender Winter Olympian.” Really, it’s just a silly story about a woman competing in the women’s category. There is nothing particularly interesting about the fact that a woman is competing in the women’s category. The only reason it’s news is because “trans.”
Amusingly, in reporting on her performance during the moguls, NBC commentators accidentally referred to her as “she” and “her.” The magazine Outsports got annoyed and accused NBC of “misgendering” her. Predictably, NBC has since apologized.
There is an absolutely horrific story about a 16-year-old female wrestler being sexually assaulted by a boy (who calls himself a girl) during a wrestling meet in Washington state. It is alleged that during the meet, he forced his fingers into her vagina. She wasn’t told until afterwards that he’s male. Her parents complained to the school, which did nothing. Brandi Kruse eventually reported the matter to the police, who are investigating. Because “trans.”
As reported by Women’s Declaration International USA:
This week, advocacy groups Women Are Real and Woman II Woman launched a statewide billboard truck campaign across California to raise awareness about men being housed in women’s prisons under SB 132 and the upcoming rape trial of Tremaine Carroll.
The campaign calls attention to the safety and human rights of incarcerated women and questions the lack of sustained media coverage surrounding Carroll’s criminal trial.

We have to talk about male convicted felons being housed in women’s prisons because “trans.” The California TERFs are relentless, and I’m so grateful for them!
The women at ROAR NYC are asking New Yorkers to contact their state senators and tell them to vote NO on Senate Bill 7131A. The bill would establish guidelines for “all-gender” restrooms, but doesn’t require single-sex facilities. They say, “Historically, such measures have led to women self-excluding from the public sphere due to lack of safe bathroom access.” Because “trans.” Here’s the bill.
A subscriber to this Substack has been very busy making t-shirts. A few weeks ago, I published an FFS Friday post celebrating “Mabel from Trenton.” Brian Lehrer (host of the The Brian Lehrer Show on WNYC) was interviewing Michael Shermer, who recently published the book Truth: What It Is, How to Find It, and Why It Still Matters. Mabel called into the show and said:
The Democratic Party has let me down because they also are untruthful about certain things…
Now they’re saying that men can become women and I feel that [they] are just discounting women as a species because in nature, there are male and female. And now you’re trying to make us believe, or certain psychiatrists or surgeons are trying to make us believe, that [they] can turn a male into a female. A female is more than her anatomy. She is her experience, growing up in this world.
This subscriber then made a t-shirt reading “WE ARE ALL MABEL FROM TRENTON.”
Even more recently, she noted an article in Mother Jones, in which I’m quoted as saying “Everyone is either female or male; everything else is a lie.” So, naturally, she made a t-shirt about that too.

If all goes as planned, I’ll be posting a podcast episode on Friday about the recent horrific mass shooting in British Columbia, Canada.
Again, this post is about the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) investigating the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) for encouraging the use of puberty blockers, opposite-sex hormones, and harmful surgeries for kids. These drugs and surgeries cause long-term problems such as sterility, loss of sexual function, disease, loss of bone density, and sometimes premature death. It’s well-known that this is likely to become one of the (if not the) biggest medical scandals in history. There’s also litigation pending about this topic in the UK.
