Yesterday, the Washington Post published two articles that caught my attention:

  • “Britain tries to make sense of landmark ruling on transgender people”; and

  • An opinion piece by the editorial board titled, “Good questions about transgender care.”

I posted the following comment on the first one:

"The Supreme Court ruled that only biological women are women. Now British institutions are trying to figure out what that means."

It means that women are women and men aren't. The UK Supreme Court knows it. The overwhelming majority of people all over the world know it. This truly is not complicated, regardless of what Labour, the LibDems, or the Greens have to say about it.

The only problem is that in 2004, the UK enacted a law called the Gender Recognition Act. It never should have. Many British radical feminist groups, including Women's Declaration International UK, support repealing that law, especially in light of the ruling. I used to be the president of the US chapter of the same organization. It has a Lesbian Caucus, a Black Women's Caucus, and a Detransitioned and Desisted Women's Caucus, each of which explains how sex denialism affects those categories of women uniquely. The group is at https://womensdeclarationusa.com/.

Now, it remains to be seen whether the US Supreme Court will also rule conclusively that sex is real, material, and immutable, which it has an opportunity to do in the case of US v. Skrmetti. WDI USA submitted a friend of the court brief in that case, explaining why the material reality of sex matters to women and girls as a class. https://womensdeclarationusa.com/wdi-usa-files-amicus-brief-before-supreme-court-in-us-v-skrmetti/

It would be really great if outlets like the Washington Post would give more of a voice to women like me, the TERFs. We are leftist radical feminists who stand for women and girls as a sex class. We celebrate this ruling. You can contact WDI USA at the website above. You can mention my name if you'd like.

In 2023, I published a book titled, "The Reckoning: How the Democrats and the Left Betrayed Women and Girls." https://www.amazon.com/Reckoning-Democrats-Betrayed-Women-Girls/dp/B0CN32BXC2.

And here we are.

Signed,

An American lifelong Democrat, leftist, radical feminist (a TERF)
