Quick updates on Little v. Hecox
And some others about what I’ve been up to for the past week and a half on TERF Island
October 21, 2025
First, I have to thank the woman who goes by @radgedyann on X for plugging my podcast on X. Her X bio: “black lesbian woman, just here to see what’s up. #adulthumanfemale #womenarereal.”
She says:
The episode she is referring to is here. That one is a free and shareable interview with Jamie Reed and Lauren Leggieri from the group LGB Courage Coalition. They have a Substack that recently posted a piece by Jamie titled “Your Next Bold Move,” which I found extremely moving. Here’s how it begins:
“Yes, the left wing was broken long ago by the slingshot of COINTELPRO, and now it’s so hard to have faith in anything—especially your next bold move.” Ani DiFranco wrote that line. And last night, while sitting in a living room packed full of the old-school left who came to hear us speak, it coursed through me.
I know exactly what song she’s talking about. I listened to Ani DiFranco religiously in the 1990s. Her reflections feel very familiar to me.
Thanks so much to @radgedyann for the support and to Jamie and Lauren for everything they do. Weekly episodes of Woman’s Hour are available to paid subscribers only. Once per month, I publish a free and shareable episode of Woman’s Hour, featuring an interview with a woman (or, in this case, women) who is active in the fight.
There are some mildly interesting updates in the matter of Little v. Hecox that I’ll share with paid subscribers here. I’ll also give paid subscribers a glimpse into what I’ve been up to recently. My interview with Josh Howie on Free Speech Nation is the finale of my week and a half on TERF Island. I hope you enjoy it.
