First, I am imploring readers to read Genevieve Gluck’s work at Women’s Voices. One item in my inbox this morning was a piece titled “Leading Transgender Health Authority Cited Forum Co-Founded by Convicted Pedophile in Standards of Care.” It begins:
Reduxx has learned that the World Professional Association for Transgender Health referenced a fetish forum co-founded by a convicted pedophile while crafting their most recent standards of care. Thomas Pidel, whose forum was sourced by WPATH, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after he was discovered to have been involved in a pedophile ring.
The “fetish forum” refers to something called the “Eunuch Archive,” which celebrates the castration of young men and boys. In 2022, the feminist publication Reduxx revealed that the world’s most prominent voice on “transgender health” (WPATH) relied on this forum in its Standards of Care 8 to create a new “eunuch gender identity.” Now it has revealed that one of the forum’s cofounders was a convicted pedophile.
You cannot truly understand what is going on in the mad world of “gender identity” or “transgender” unless you understand what is driving it, and Genevieve is one of the best sources on that.
Next, if you want to have some fun with language, check out a podcast by the group Morbid Symptoms: Politics and Culture called “Sex is Real; Trans is Not.” The commentators break down the brief filed by Women’s Declaration International USA in U.S. v. Skrmetti and their commentary is delightful.
This post will focus on a recent guest essay in the New York Times by longtime Democratic strategist James Carville titled “I Was Wrong About the 2024 Election. Here’s Why.” I’ll explain my frustration with Carville and all the prominent Democrats who still have their heads in the sand when it comes to why Kamala Harris lost.
