Yesterday, the US House Committee on Education and the Workforce held a debate on a bill to stop recent Title IX rule changes from the Department of Education from taking effect. The rule changes in question amend the Title IX regulations to redefine the word sex to include the sexist and homophobic concept of “gender identity” for all Title IX purposes. They became final in April of this year.

The debate is here, if you’d like to watch. I spent an hour yesterday doing just that and I have some thoughts.

I received word while writing this that the bill passed in the House on party lines (210-205) with several members on both sides not voting.
