It’s 2022. Can lesbians be lesbians?

Although men who claim to be women (and their female fans) have been histrionically asking for the right to exist as an undefined category they invented called “trans”, it is turning out that DARVO may be hard at work behind that particular piece of bad theater. It seems that in fact lesbians are not permitted to exist.
Today in Cardiff, Wales, it was lesbians who were prohibited from being lesbians as part of Pride Cymru. Specifically, it was a group of U.K. lesbians called Get the L Out. Here we have video of the officer explaining why the lesbians, who were doing nothing unlawful or even disruptive, were required to leave the nominally LGBTQ+ Pride march.
“Whatever you are is causing confrontation”, says the policeman. What? What they are, is lesbians. The L in the LGBTQ+ acronym. The first letter in it.
What lesbians *are* is causing confrontation? Can lesbians exist? Can lesbians congregate? Can lesbians march in a parade whose earliest origins are lesbian? Not only does the answer appear to be no; but it also seems that it’s lesbians who are being blamed for the unprovoked aggression against them. By the police.
What lesbians are, is human females who desire other human females, and who do not desire men. By definition, men can never be lesbians; and to insist that they are, and that lesbians must consider partnering with them, is homophobic and rapey. The so-called “cotton ceiling” of unavailability to men is what defines lesbians. That this needs to be stated is alarming.
Get the L Out’s Twitter account was locked today, after tweeting “What a lovely day to be a lesbian. Let’s dance in the streets.”
Based on the today’s events in Cardiff, it appears that lesbians can be threatened with arrest for existing as lesbians. The full force of the law is telling lesbians that they may not say no to men, that they may not congregate as lesbians, that they may not speak their name, or exercise every citizen’s rights to freedom of speech, freedom of expression, or freedom of assembly. And that is because being lesbian makes some men so distressed that they will attack those lesbians who think they are citizens with all the rights of citizenship. And that for lesbians to exercise these rights of citizenship constitutes a breach of the peace. The police hate breaches of the peace. So the lesbians must go away, so the angry mob will be peaceful and the police won’t need to deal with angry men. Because men’s bad feelings and aggressive behaviors against women have always been seen as women’s fault. And because lesbians are no longer to be treated as citizens.
The logic and the power dynamics remind me of the events leading up to kristallnacht. The mob is not the innocent victim; nor, supported as it is by every state institution including the police, is it the “most marginalized community.” It is simply men bullying women into silence and invisibility. With threats of physical violence by the mob, and with threats of criminal punishment by the police. All supported by the State.
This is all just as alarming as it sounds. Be alarmed, and spread the word.
