Yep. I read about the decision first in Jennifer Bilek’s newsletter. In writing about it she said the following:
“Women are now being told, in effect, that they are not a biological class with shared boundaries, but an identity open to anyone who claims it. That their spaces are not theirs to define. That their objections are discriminatory. That reality itself is negotiable. This is not liberation. It is erasure and marketing dressed up as inclusion and compassion.”

For Women Scotland lost in the lower courts and then won in the highest court in the land - women will fight on! Sall has an army of strong women behind her! Women will not be erased, we will just keep fighting on to protect our civil rights!
This ruling brought me to tears. Sall has such tenacity to keep going. When the levers of law are against what everyone knows (including these men) to be true, it feels so hopeless. I am still dumbfounded by the insanity of all of this. It is so hard to believe, but here we are.
How can something be gut-wrenching and inspiring at the same time? We know we are right, despite defeats. We know that Sall is right, that she is strong, that she is brave. Thank you for honoring Sall yet again, Kara.
I imagine that the early 20th century feminists in the U.S. and Europe felt exactly the same way Elizabeth. It’s soul crushing to think how hard our fore sisters fought for our sex based rights, how much condescension and violence they endured, and to see what’s happening now. The absolute contempt being shown to women- it’s humiliating, demeaning, and in some situations dangerous. But they would not want us to give up and we cannot give up. Because we know, as they did, when you stand up, don’t back down, and have moral clarity on your side you win. It feels enormously daunting right now, absolutely. Sick to my stomach about the insane legal ruling against Sall Grover. And did you notice ? The sadistic b**tards of this Australian court even “turned the knife” they stabbed into her back by doubling the damages awarded to the male creep !
According to Australian law, which ignores reality, the judges had to decide the way they did. However they didn't have to add to the insanity with those monetary damages.
Male supremacy considers itself invincible, ... but time will tell. This seems to be a bridge too far in bending truth and reality. Can they really force this absurdity on enough people?
