Mozzy Clark, I am so sorry for what has happened to you and is happening to other women in prison. The government has utterly failed you. Society has failed you. Thank you for your courage to bring this lawsuit. We stand with you.
Why is the helplessness and vulnerability of incarcerated women vis-a-vis trans-identified men not as important to progressives as abortion? Why are progressive women not being confronted on this topic? Why isn't this front page news? In these cases, the identity politics paradigm employs a different hierarchy. Trans-identified men are more oppressed than incarcerated adult human females, apparently. And isn't it remarkable how the trans-identified man who happens to be a convicted murderer and/or rapist decided he was a women just yesterday, right after the "guilty" verdict?
Not that the timing matters, but it's instructive nonetheless.
I did a Google search and discovered that some news sources are covering this story, including MSN.com, Washington Times, Yahoo, Law Enforcement Today, the National Review, and Washington State television stations. That's far from sufficient.
As long as these incidents continue to fly under the progressive radar, the daily physical and psychological torture of incarcerated women will continue. Thus, the importance of Free Speech Friday. Kara makes these posts free to share. Each of us can do our part by sending this post to everyone we know.

Outrageous.

To say that this would be a nightmare is an understatement. I feel terrible for Clark. Nothing I've read recently makes me count my blessings more.

Thank you for this, Kara, and to Mozzy Clark for her tremendous courage. I have restacked.
Is there any way to donate to her legal fund?

I'm so disturbed, saddened, and angry about this issue. I could barely get through your post. Thank you for highlighting this woman.
