FFS (Female Free Speech) Friday honors women and girls who are speaking out about the harms that “gender identity” poses to women and girls as a sex class. FFS Friday posts are free and shareable. If you would like access to content that delves deeper into the movement to protect the sex-based rights of women and girls and to stop the abolition of sex, please consider a paid subscription.
Today’s FFS Friday honors Julie Lane from the CA-based group Women Are Real. Give them a follow on X if you’d like at @WomenAreReals.
Women from the group can often be seen standing up for female athletes and opposing the inclusion of male athletes in girls’ and women’s sports. I once joined them to protest a male athlete being permitted to compete in the California state track championships in Fresno.
Today’s post celebrates Julie’s recent testimony against California AB1955, which would let schools keep secrets from parents when children request the use of opposite sex facilities, name change & pronoun change. Her testimony can be found here:
Those testifying had been told to state solely their organizational affiliations and their position on the bill. Julie handled the situation like a boss. She said:
My name is Julie Lane.
I’m a lesbian Democrat from San Francisco.
I’m here as a member of Women are Real, Women’s Declaration International, and Women’s Liberation Front.
And also on behalf of the coalition of “No One Can Change Their Sex,” the coalition of “Lesbians, Gay Men, and and Bisexuals,” and the coalition of “Sane People.”
I strongly oppose this bill.
Well done, Julie, and keep it real, Women are Real. Today’s FFS Friday is for you.
Many thanks to Julie and Kara! Right on and good work!
EVERY Democrat in the California legislature, House and Senate, will vote FOR this awful bill. And our Democrat governor will sign it into law.
Californians: remember that in November.
