Hilarious that when discussing catheter removal (presumably from the patients PENIS) the nurse was expected to call a man “she.”

It seems that Glenna was fired for exercising her First Amendment rights.

Can't she sue for that?

Robin Azzollini's avatar

I hope so. Between this and the Colorado Baker case, it appears that Letitia James is a demented menace.

Eleganta's avatar

All the high-level Dems seem to have simultaneously lost their f'ing MINDS.

"Demented menace" absolutely. The lady is just completely unhinged.

Her latest bit of complete insanity: Thefts of Korean cars (Hyundai and Kia) have been on the rise lately. So, instead of initiating a crackdown on car thieves like a halfway sane attorney general would, James decided to... sue Hyundai and Kia for "making their cars too easy to steal". https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/2025/attorney-general-james-secures-9-million-hyundai-and-kia-failing-protect-cars

Yes, I live in NY State so I was familiar with this ridiculous story. No matter what nonsense she commits, the local press covers her like she is the second coming of Clarence Darrow. 🤦‍♀️ 🙄

Wait. So two teenagers were killed in a stolen car, and two other people were killed without cars but there were cars in the vicinity? So she acted on that?

I guess we can expect her to leap any minute to the defense of everyone killed by transgenderists, which by now is well into the double digits.

Robin Azzollini's avatar

Don’t hold your breath. She will probably charge the victims for “thought” crimes against the poor innocent men who just want to wear lipstick, dresses, and invade women’s spaces. 🤦‍♀️

I wonder what the implications of this will be, if any, as some of the Detransitioners’ Lawsuits move through the courts? I am thinking specifically of the Christina Hineman case as she is from NY and the Hudson Valley Planned Parenthood is named along with the Greater Planned Parenthood Organization but there are surely many more being impacted in NY by the gender industrial complex’s fraud being perpetrated on NY youth. How can James effectively pursue justice for people like Christina and the hundreds if not thousands of children and teenagers who have come to realize that “gender affirming care” was misrepresented to them? And if you ask that of people who are Pro- all things trans- they look at you as if you have three heads.

"a white colleague used male pronouns for the same patient but was not investigated."

It apparently wasn't the correct pronouns that brought on the investigation. It was the uproar the man caused while repeatedly calling her a n--. In today's UK Clown World, YOU can be investigated if someone causes an uproar in discriminating against you.

I don't make the rules.

Cassandra anonymous's avatar

The rules are DARVO: deny, accuse, *reverse victim and offender.*

Eleganta's avatar

You hit the nail on the head.

"...Melle maintains that she acted professionally, prioritized patient safety, and is being punished for expressing her Christian beliefs. She also noted that a white colleague used male pronouns for the same patient but was not investigated....On Tuesday, she won the right to keep her job after the NHS dropped the investigation." Could racism have had something to do with her harassment? Was religion the deal breaker? Maybe, who can tell? But it's fascinating how the UK weasels its way around the free speech/trans issue, sometimes giving people a pass and other times throwing outspoken TERFs in prison.

It implies to me that the UK courts would rather not have to adjudicate the issue anymore, but they don't have the integrity to do it. Either wrong-sex pronouns are sacred or they're a big bunch of hooey. Depends on the day, or the race of the nurse who noticed that the patient was a man. I don't know how precedents work in the UK, but I wonder if the verdict will have teeth in the future, when Melle correctly identifies another patient and a whole new round of pearl clutching ensues.

How can people whose job is to respect and uphold the law live with themselves? Never mind. That was a trick question.

Goldis' issue is more thorny. Leticia James is as politically motivated as any A.G. around. I'm a New Yorker and I find her partisan virtue signaling reprehensible. That Goldis lasted as long as she did in that minefield is a testimonial to her fortitude. It's not easy being a progressive who insists on interrogating the issues objectively and sometimes even disagrees!

Melle and Goldis make a excellent, inspiring pair on this FFS Friday.

I admit, I was sincerely surprised to learn that Goldis still had her job at James's office as late as last week. Transy cancel culture might have eventually triumphed this time, but its teeth are falling out.

Only a few years ago, women were losing their entire careers within 24 hours of simply RT'ing a JKR tweet. In fact, that's what sparked the vicious transy pile-on to cancel JKR: she accidentally liked a Magdalen Berns tweet. Accidentally! They thought they could destroy her for it.

They f'ed around and found out.

They sure did. Thanks for your observations!

Here's the Glinner post describing the cancellations I mentioned:

Just read it today right before reading your comment.

Graham Linehan was exactly who I was thinking of regarding "throwing outspoken TERFS in prison."

Eleganta's avatar

Yeah, don't insult transies and then go to the UK.

America might not be the epitome of all that's good and fair, but at least we have our First Amendment. The UK should get some of that.

For information, Jennifer's case has not been to tribunal yet. She faced an internal disciplinary hearing within the (totally captured)NHS but was exonerated and allowed to return to work. Of course, the process is the punishment a lot of the time!

Dusty

Beeswax's avatar

Thank you for the clarification. Yes, the process is about intimidation. It's vile.

Dusty Masterson's avatar

Jennifer is ploughing on with a Tribunal claim so fingers crossed.

The nurses are leading the way on Terf Island!

Cheers
