FFS (Female Free Speech) Friday honors women and girls who are speaking out about the harms that “gender identity” poses to women and girls as a sex class. FFS Friday posts are free and shareable. If you would like access to content that delves deeper into the movement to protect the sex-based rights of women and girls and to stop the abolition of sex, please consider a paid subscription.
Today’s FFS Friday honors Elaine Miller (@GussieGrips on X). Eliane is a Scottish feminist and women’s health expert. She is also hilarious. Her X bio reads:
Frank, funny, factual, Fellow, physio. Come for the fanny, stay for the feminism. #DoYourPelvicFloorExercises. Hoping to be proved wrong (#terflon protected)
Elaine recently spoke out at a Let Women Speak event in Aberdeen.
Women Are Watching
I met Elaine in the fall of 2022, while attending the annual conference of the group FiLiA, whose website reads, “'FiLiA' means daughter; we are the daughters of the women who came before us and we fight so that our sisters and daughters may be free.” She has been speaking out about the sex-based rights of women and girls for several years now.
On March 8 (International Women’s Day), the group Let Women Speak, founded by Kellie-Jay Keen, held an event in Aberdeen, Scotland. Scottish police have been accused of failing to protect the women from a mob of angry men who were there to try to shut them up.
Undeterred, many women spoke. Kellie-Jay posted a clip of Elaine’s speech on Thursday, with the caption “Women are watching.” This is what Elaine had to say (in her delightful Scottish accent):
My name is Elaine Miller and I’m wearing my “coat of many eyeballs” to celebrate a woman that understood that feminism is a verb. Mary Gor - I’m getting upset - Mary Gordon lived “deeds not words.” Which is why two police officers asked Mary to explain why St. Andrew’s House in Edinburgh had “Women Are Watching” chalked across the front of it, thus the eyeballs.
She said, “I did it because I feel women’s rights are being eroded, as is our ability to talk freely and openly about issues which affect us, without being accused of “transphobia.”
[points to angry men]
That was in 2021, and four years on, if you can hear what these people are saying, nothing has changed.
St. Andrew’s House is the headquarters building of the Scottish government, which has been pushing “gender identity” on the Scottish people for several years. In 2019, the government raised a “trans” flag at St. Andrew’s House on “trans day of remembrance.”
In the clip of Elaine’s speech, you can hear the sound of angry men yelling at her in the background.
It should be astonishing that women have to do this, but many of us aren’t surprised. We have to stand up in the public square and say that women exist as a sex class. And when we do, we’re accused of “transphobia.” But we will not stop talking. Elaine, today’s FFS Friday is for you.
Watch her stand up at Comedy Unleashed in Scotland, about 11 months ago. I laughed so hard I wept. She’s brilliant. Can find on You Tube.
Yet another brilliant choice for FFS FRIDAY. Her outfit is delightful, and yes, all must absolutely listen to the clip. Thank you, Kara, for this series, and thanks to Gussie Grip for being her inimitable self!
