FFS (Female Free Speech) Friday honors women and girls who are speaking out about the harms that “gender identity” poses to women and girls as a sex class. FFS Friday posts are free and shareable. If you would like access to content that delves deeper into the movement to protect the sex-based rights of women and girls and to stop the abolition of sex, please consider a paid subscription.
Today’s FFS Friday honors Dora Moutot and Marguerite Stern, two French women who published a book earlier this year called Transmania : enquête sur les dérives de l’idéologie transgenre (Transmania: An Investigation into the Abuses of Transgender Ideology).
Encouraging violence against women because we say that being a woman is rooted in biological reality is completely unacceptable.
According to a review in The European Conservative:
Both convinced and committed feminists, they took the road of conversion when they realised that, in the name of transsexual rights, they were no longer allowed to defend this sympathetic and disappearing population: women. Singled out and stigmatised as TERFs (Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists), like J.K. Rowling and so many others, because they refused to accept that a man force-fed hormones and surgery could become a woman, they set out to trace the thread of this Soviet-style madness that would have us see black where we see white (or vice versa).
They refer to “trans” as one of the “biggest conceptual heists in history” and say that in “trans” world, “there is no room for reality, for what is reasonable, what is easily measurable, observable, quantifiable, describable,” and instead, “the dictatorship of feeling” rules.
It was scheduled to be published mid-April and ads for the book went up all around Paris:
But in April, Dora reported:
The ads for our book TRANSMANIA will be removed from the streets of Paris by order of the Paris City Hall. I never would have believed I would witness such a regression of public discourse and debate. Freedom of expression in France is dead.
Earlier this month, a group that I would characterize as trantifa attacked and threatened them, chanting “A TERF, A BULLET, SOCIAL JUSTICE”:
« A TERF, A BULLET, SOCIAL JUSTICE » : a crowd of transgender activists called for the murder of @Margueritestern and I, in front of the police, at Assas University. (we gave a conference on our book #Transmania) Yes, this is where we're at. Please, let the world know what is going on in France.
They have been met with some of the most vicious abuse I have seen in the nearly ten years I have been working in this space. As just one example, Marguerite received this message on Instagram on May 16:
So, in the face of all this abuse, they are backing down and shutting up, right? No! They are taking matters into their own hands:
Encouraging violence against women because we say that being a woman is rooted in biological reality is completely unacceptable.
To Dora and Marguerite: Today’s FFS Friday is for you.
P.S. My French is a bit rusty, but if I’m reading Marguerite’s post from two days ago accurately, Dora’s birthday was May 22.
Bon anniversaire à l’une des femmes les plus extraordinaires que je connaisse.
If I’ve got that right, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DORA!
As a fan of all things French I find this horrific . I thought France was proud of its scientific and logical cultural history ?
This series is a tremendous public service, Kara. Thank you so much.
