Democratic Attorneys General Have Sued the Administration for Halting Federal Funding for “Gender Medicine.”

On February 2, lawyer Glenna Goldis posted on X that “Dem AGs need to sue Trump or admit they're abandoning trans.”

I quite liked that post, and I wondered if they would do it.

She got her wish, and on February 7, she posted a great thread explaining that “Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, and 3 anon doctors have sued Trump for restricting child gender medicine” and that “In the past, blue state AGs have taken a back seat to ACLU, etc., in gender med lawsuits. Now these government lawyers are stepping into the limelight.”

The Executive Order, 14187 (“Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation”), was issued on January 28 and published in the Federal Register on February 3. The suit was filed four days later.

In her thread, Glenna eviscerates the complaint, and it’s well worth a read. In this post, I’ll provide some additional thoughts.
